The Innovation Pathway

Registration

Analyse the problem statements from the focus areas and decide which one you want to address by building a working app solution and register online with your details.

AI Masterclasses

Registered teams will be provided with Masterclasses on vibe coding using AI by experts.

Session 1: 15 November 25 (2-3 hours)

Session 2: 16 November 25 (2-3 hours)

Prototype Submission

Based on the solution and the training received, teams are required to submit the prototype.

Submission Needed:

  • 1. A working app/model that succinctly addresses the problem identified on the theme.
  • 2. 3-5 min demo video
  • 3. 5-slide documentation (or 500 words).

Rules of Participation

Grades 8-12 students from government & private schools can present solo or team up to build eco-solutions using Vibe Coding.

Teams of 1-2 members only.
Focus Areas
In today's world, sustainability is no longer an option — it's an urgent call to act. The Eco Innovator Ideathon 2026 empowers school students to go beyond ideas and build real, working apps for environmental challenges. By harnessing the power of AI,students will design and submit impactful apps that reduce the ecological footprint and shape a resilient future.

You can select from any of the following renewable energy themes to design practical, technology-enabled working app.
Solar Energy
1. Support renewable energy adoption (solar, wind, water).
2. Promote responsible waste segregation and recycling.
3. Improve monitoring and awareness of resource use.
4. Leverage AI/ML and GenAI to solve environmental challenges in innovative ways.

Evaluation Criteria

Level 5: Shortlisting

Idea Icon
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Problem Identification: How well does the solution define the sustainability challenge being addressed
Innovation and Creativity: How original is the approach and uniqueness of the idea/app?
Technical Integration: How effectively does the solution leverage AI/ML, vibe coding, etc to build a working app?
Impact Potential: Alignment with sustainability goals and potential to create measurable change
Functionality: Presence of a working prototype app (concepts alone will not qualify)

Level 6: Grand Finale

Winners will be selected based on the following criteria's:
Solution Demonstration - Clarity, completeness, and live functionality of the app/model.
Scalability & Feasibility - Potential for real-world application, adoption, and expansion.
Impact & Relevance - Contribution towards addressing sustainability priorities (energy, water, waste, etc.) and alignment with ministry/partner objectives.
Presentation & Communication - Quality of delivery, ability to explain technical and social impact clearly, handling Q&A, time management
Innovation & Long-Term Vision - Freshness of the idea and scope for further development/improvement.
