ICT Labs
Providing digital access to students across socio-economic and geographical barriers for improved academic performance

Setting-up Computer Labs
The Schoolnet PPP (Public Private Partnership) Computer Lab setting-up process is both unique and holistic in nature. This robust mechanism aids implementation of large scale projects on a build, own, operate and transfer model. It includes a Baseline Survey that is conducted to ascertain physical infrastructure readiness and the IT skills of students & teachers. This is followed by preparation of the lab with networking and electrical fittings and installation of hardware
Operations
A Centralised project control room is set-up with the help of which round the clock monitoring of the project is undertaken
Computer Instructors
A transparent process of recruitment and deployment of dedicated computer instructors is done through a centralised online portal. Regular workshop-based training programmes are conducted for teachers in the schools. Instructors are encouraged to be more creative and have a greater ownership of the process of teaching
Development of
customised content
Customised educational multimedia content mapped to the curriculum is developed. A variety of simulation, animation, audio-video and graphical elements are incorporated in the content to enhance interest and motivation in students and teachers alike. This resource pool better equips teachers to deal with the individual differences in learners and to tackle ‘difficult’ areas of the curriculum
