Some of the other eminent dignitaries present included Bani P Dhawan, Country Head, Google For Education; Subir Shukla, Educationist & Former Educational Quality Advisor, SSA–MHRD; Ms. Jyoti Kumar, Director of Education, Arya Vidya Mandir Group of Institutions, Mumbai, besides other members of the education fraternity, representatives from multilateral agencies, EdTech organizations, principals of schools and students.

“‘Geneo’ offers personalized learning through curriculum aligned content mapped to CBSE, but it is relevant for other boards too”, said Surya Ramachandran, Chief Innovation Officer, IL&FS Education, while introducing the features of the app during the launch. It offers a unique blended solution, he added in his speech. Thus, ‘Geneo’ users can have a one to one interaction with subject teacher experts for any need based help, anytime and anywhere. Shourie Chatterji, Principal Lead, Digital Initiatives, IL&FS Education explained that ‘Geneo’ provides action based learning to students through the LARA approach i.e. Learn, Apply, Revise and Assess.

There was an impromptu interaction with present school principals and students, who had used ‘Geneo’ content as a part of a research. Mr Ashutosh Batta, Chairman of Bloom Public School, conducted this session. Students shared views on how they found ‘Geneo’ to be very engaging and useful; they also highlighted how they could use the app on diverse platforms such as a home PC, personal tab or even a smart phone. “For the last 20 years, IL&FS Education has been working with a single focus on designing innovative EdTech solutions to improve learning outcomes for students. ‘Geneo’ is well aligned to the IL&FS vision of demonstrating the potential of the private sector in achieving national goals and reaching out to the masses,” concluded Mr. Reddy.
