IL&FS Skills introduces training programmes in the healthcare sector

Tamil Nadu: IL&FS Skills has embarked on a new programme to provide training and livelihood opportunities in the healthcare sector. Under this initiative, IL&FS offers one month certificate programme as 'Hospital Assistant'. The programme offers training in the areas of Bedside, Pharmacy, Midwifery and Optometry.

The curriculum of the programme has been developed in consultation with a panel consisting of renowned doctors and faculties from the respective field. The course content of the programme is conducted using exclusive multimedia content, which has been developed by IL&FS. Soft skills training is also being imparted to the candidates, in tune with the need.

Prior to launching this course, IL&FS conducted an extensive field study at various hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and also interacted with officials from IMA (Indian Medical Association) to understand the need for a semi-skilled workforce.

The course content has been reviewed and accredited by I-TECH - India - is a Centre under the Department of Global Health, University of Washington, USA and the technical and advisory support is being rendered by Mithras Foundation, Chennai – a NGO working in the field of health for the past 10 years and is headed by a renowned Gynaecologist.

Regular monitoring and evaluation is being conducted to ensure on the training quality, being imparted to the prospective candidates. After the successful completion of the training, IL&FS Skills also offers 100% job placement to the candidates in the health sector.
