7-Sep-2011

Mumbai, 07th September 2011: The scope of trainers and master trainers in the present day education scenario varies and the requirement for multi-disciplinary skills to transact the contents in a short duration of time is the need & skills of the hour. To meet these national needs & qualifications, IL&FS Education has inked a pact with IGNOU and will be partnering with them to bring a special education and skills programme that provides training to an individual in different aspects of the job specifications. This is aimed at narrowing down the huge talent deficit in the training and education sector.

The pact signed between "IGNOU-IL&FS Education", has introduced a trainer's training programmes I-TRAIN that will qualify an individual to design and deliver training programmes across the sectors and equip them with new skills and knowledge. In addition to this, a BPO Certification programme has also been launched with the objective of providing soft skill programme for BPL Youth and making them employable in this new segment.

One of the significant outcome of the MOU is a unique Certification courses I-TRAIN a Master Training Programme that has a national requirement of more than one lakh professional trainers. These courses will cater to the requirement cutting across in sectors like MNREGS, e-Governance Programmes, multi-sector NGOs and Mega Corporate and within the Government Training Institutions covering State Institutes of Planning, State Rural Training Institutes, DRDAs, Panchyati Raj Training, KVKs, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) and such other corporates.

The present I-TRAIN course is a Certificate Programme which involves 3 months distance training mode with active 5 day PCP programme. I-TRAIN is expected to provide solutions for developing the bandwidth and upgrading the knowledge of the Master Trainers, Trainers and Training Administrators across retail sectors distributed across various geographical spreads at varying levels. In the years to come, I-TRAIN will be offered at the level of Post Diploma and Post Graduate courses, to enable the Traines’ Trainer to move up vertically with new skills sets.

IL&FS Education has also launched Certificate & Post Diploma programmes in BPOs. The programme is very unique with the objective of offering a one month intensive class room teaching and practice sessions. An International BPO is also in the pipeline and will soon be joining hands with them to provide a unique methodology with ascent & voice modulation for potential students.
