IL&FS Education adopted school, Daji Peth Municipal School of Solapur Municipal Corporation, under Project Parivartan has been adjudged as the Best ICT Enabled School of the Year, at the eMaharashtra Awards, by Government of Maharashtra, at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium. Award was received by Smt. Aishwarya Baride and Smt. Rupa Dalal on behalf of the school and the Parivartan team from Smt. Fouzia Khan, Minister of State, School Education and Shri Rajesh Agarwal,Secretary IT, Government of Maharashtra.
IL&FS Education’s Tele-Homeopathy Project, in Tripura was awarded the Jury Award along with the 2nd Place in the Public Choice Award at the eHealth World Forum on August 2nd, 2011 at The Ashok, in New Delhi.
Both awards were received jointly by Shri. D D Sharma, Joint Secretary, Dept of AYUSH and Mr. Prem Anand, Asst. Vice President, IETS. The awards were given away by Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, MoS, Govt. of India and Mr. R. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Dept. of Telecom, Govt. of India.
The IETS Learning Kit Approach was awarded the first prize for innovation and high impact in the Education category after a very stringent selection process. The jury members were from esteemed organizations from across the world with vast experience in the field of social entrepreneurship and education.
Central Bank of India Financial Inclusion division has taken up the challenge of evolving a differentiated, demand driven model of FI leveraging the ubiquity and convenience of the mobile telephone to deliver a holistic package of services that can drive usage and adoptability amongst economically active customers. Central Bank of India leveraged the increasing recognition of the role that mobile telephones can play in extending banking to underserved segments.
Given the limited availability of GPRS and internet access across most of rural India, the project deploys end-to-end secure SMS technologies that are available in every part of the country to ensure ubiquitous coverage and quick adoption
Central Bank of India is implementing the program with the support of IL&FS Education and their partners. IL&FS Education is Vendor to Central Bank of India as System Integrator.
The Tripura Vision Centre Project won the Best Govt. Policy Initiative of the year under e-health category at the 7th eINDIA Award on 15th December in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
IL&FS Education has been actively involved as the implementing agency for the Tripura Vision Centre Project. The Project serves a rural population of size of around 37 lakh people in the remote areas spread across 40 blocks of 4 districts in the state of Tripura.
The Award was received by Mr. Ketul Acharya (Vice President, IL&FS Education - Gujarat). The awards were given away by Ms.Smriti Irani (Member of Council of State) and Mr. Ravi Saxena (Additional Chief Sec. Dept. of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat).
IL&FS Education was bestowed with Best Private Sector "Bottom of Pyramid" Skill Providers Award at the 4th FICCI Global Skills Summit on 15, September 2011 in New Delhi. The Award was instituted by the UK-India Skills Forum (UKISF) to acknowledge the Indian companies/training providers who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the skills agenda in India.
The award was received by Dr. Raj Dravid – COO Skills, IL&FS and Mr. V. Padmanabhan, National Head, Skill Development, IL&FS.
The Tripura Vision Centre Project won e-North East Award 2011- Best Usage of ICT in the Health Services Delivery on November 25th, 2011 in Kohima, Nagaland.
IL&FS Education has been actively involved as the implementing agency for the project. The Tripura Vision Centre Project serves a rural population of size of around 37 lakh people in the remote areas spread across 40 blocks of 4 districts in the state of Tripura.
The Tripura Vision Centre project,conceived by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tripura is a breakthrough in delivering eye-care services to the previously un-reached rural citizens of the state.
Poised with the challenges of inadequate medical facilities and limited eye care specialists in the rural areas, this initiative has overcome all geographical, economic, social barriers earlier faced by the rural citizens and helped them in obtaining quality eye care services from Vision Centers located at their doorsteps.
The application of ICT tools in the initiative not only takes eye care to remote locations but also enables ascertaining of the quality of the service.
More than 85000 patients have been screened at these centers thereby reducing the outpatient load on the doctors located at the general hospitals.
After an overwhelming sweep of awards at Meffys UK, Sankalp, Manthan and MBillionth awards for English Seekho in 2010, SPARSH, IL&FS Education’s latest flagship VAS offering has won the M Billionth award in the M-Education and Learning category!
The awards were decided by an elite jury, a group of esteemed heads of various multinational bodies like The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, The Government of India, Mint to name a few.
The Bihar Education Project Council (BEP) decided in the year 2008-09 to partner with Bihar State Education Development Council (BSEDC) to introduce CAL in 244 middle schools across the State of Bihar.
For this project, BSEDC and IL&FS Education formed a consortium to work in partnership with Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Bihar
The scope of the project includes setting up of computer labs along with a K-Yan, a community learning device in all schools.
